Anne Zouroudi
Born in a Lincolnshire village in 1959, Anne Zouroudi was brought up in Sheffield, on the edge of the Derbyshire moorlands. After studying Russian at Leeds University, she embarked on a career in the then-fledgling IT industry, and worked for several years in the United States, both on New Yorkfs Wall Street and in Denver, Colorado. She then worked for a major British travel agent before abandoning her lucrative career for a simpler life in the Greek islands. One of lifefs natural travellers, her attachment to Greece remains strong, and the country has been the inspiration for two of her novels.
Back in the UK, she trained as a journalist, then funded her ambition to write fiction by any possible means, including writing copy for travel brochures, delivering Yellow Pages and working in an antique shop.
Active in local politics, she serves on the Parish Council of the small Peak District village where she lives with her son. She is currently working on her next novel.
