Angela Woolfe
Angela was born in Warwickshire, but grew up in Leicestershire. After a gap year in which she took a short drama course and travelled in Italy and Germany, learning both languages, she attended Cambridge University. Upon graduating from Cambridge, she studied journalism, and then worked in a variety of roles for Vogue magazine. Then one day, travelling to work on the London Underground, she dreamt up the idea of a strange, bald, doughnut-eating scientist called Avril Crump…and is now a full time writer. Avril Crump and the lucky 13, the third book in the series, was published by Egmont in June 2006. Angela is now writing a series of comic adventures for younger children, The Kingdom of the Frosty Mountains (to be published by Egmont in 2007) featuring ballerinas and their pet animals.
