Janet Gleeson
Janet Gleeson was born in Sri Lanka where her father was a tea planter. After taking a degree in English and History of Art at Nottingham University she worked for Sotheby's and Bonhams Auctioneers, where she specialised in Old Master Paintings. She became Antiques correspondent for House & Garden Magazine and later joined Reed Books where she was responsible for editing numerous Miller's Antiques Guides. Her work has also appeared in publications such as Apollo , The Daily Mail, The New Statesman, The Times, The Lady, and The Literary Review. She lives in Wimbledon with a husband, three children and two dogs.
